The line, years ago, was They've got the money, but we've got the people.
Then that fell apart, because the Dems stopped listening to the people and spent way too much of their time grubbing for rich people's cash, trying to mimic the Rs.
That has changed, although the donors, the consultants, and the old guard of the party still seem pretty tone deaf.
No matter. The people have found their voice.
The oligarchs are doing what they can to strangle that voice. I think it's time to regulate social media as public utilities. They're not the New York Times. They're the post office.
I hear echoes of 1968 everywhere.
